The Jewish Community Housing Corporation (JCHC) selected DIGroup to revitalize resident rooms, re-energize and create new community spaces and improve the overall interior and exterior aesthetics of the building. The work at JCHC’s Village Apartments included the conversion of a four-story wing of the building known as the Bierman Home from a self-contained assisted living unit to independent living apartments, consistent with use of the remainder of the building. The renovation of the wing reduced the overall number of apartments and allowed for the creation of much needed community spaces, all located on the first floor with direct access and visual connectivity to Vose Avenue and a private garden terrace area.
