The renovation of this Urban Health Plan health center brought new services to the Soundview community including women’s health and a new dental clinic. This phased renovation within a commercial development significantly upgraded and expanded the second-floor of the health center to add such essential services as women’s health and a 1,250 SF dental clinic. The project increased the number of medical exam rooms to 10 and equipped the facility with a new dental clinic with 4 operatories and panoramic x-ray equipment. The Peninsula Community Health Center, one of UHP’s extension clinics providing primary care and dental services, focuses on overall well-being by offering guidance on nutrition and linking patients to essential social services to help achieve the best possible health outcomes for the community.
